I’m Brittney Burns, the proud Founder and Owner of Cura Aesthetics, and I’m thrilled to welcome you into the Cura family. Since I’m a big believer in the power of first impressions, I thought I’d start by telling you a little bit about my story. 

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the intersection of wellness and artistry. Even as a kid growing up in San Antonio, I recognized the impact a person’s health could have on the quality of their life and the lives of the people around them. Although I had yet to define the connection, the concept of wellness always seemed to be inextricably linked with our ability to find beauty in the moments that matter. The way I saw it, helping others was (and still is) an artform. It was a purpose that only flourished with age, and I took meaningful steps to pursue it. First attending Nursing School and landing a job in Critical Care where I flourished in many different roles from cardiac intensive care to trauma and beyond. Despite igniting my passion for problem-solving, this made me wish I was more proactively involved in a patient’s treatment from day one, I returned to school to get my Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner degree and transitioned into Wellness and Aesthetics care. The desire to shape the course of a client’s care — instead of just reacting to it — combined with my long-held passion for aesthetics ultimately led me where I am today: to the world of Cura Aesthetics. 

When I first opened Cura, I did so with a goal of building the kind of MedSpa I would want to call home, one where every client’s happiness is more important than the bottom line. For me, that meant curating a well-rounded, sensory experience rooted in anticipatory service, skilled aesthetics, and vast medical expertise. From my perspective, a person’s well-being is greater than the sum of its parts, and it is only through an integrated approach that we can each feel — and look — like the best possible version of the whole package we are. 

With over 18 years in the medical field 6 years in the beauty, health, & wellness industry, whatever your aesthetic and wellness goals may be, I look forward to helping you achieve them and being by your side every step of the way!

Heather Thompson is the Lead Esthetician for our Devine practice and brings a warm, reassuring presence to every treatment she provides. With a background rooted in both clinical knowledge and luxury skincare, Heather is known for her attentive approach, her ability to educate clients with clarity and confidence, and the genuinely caring energy she brings into the treatment room.

Heather is a licensed esthetician, certified in Phlebotomy, IV Therapy, Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels, and DiamondGlow. She has completed extensive continuing education to stay ahead in an ever-evolving field and is currently advancing her clinical skillset as she works toward becoming a Medical Assistant.

As our practice expands into New Braunfels and integrates advanced laser technologies, Heather is actively training in these modalities. Her goal is to ensure that when lasers arrive in Devine, she is fully prepared to offer safe, effective, results-driven treatments to her loyal clients.

Outside of the treatment room, Heather is married and a proud mom. Her family is at the center of her world. She loves a daily dose of yoga and on weekends, you’ll often find her on the tennis court with her family. 

Heather’s blend of warmth, professionalism, and technical expertise makes her a trusted provider and a steady, foundational presence within our growing practice.

You’ll be greeted with a big smile and a warm, bubbly energy that’s positive, helpful, and easy to connect with. She’s like a sponge - always soaking up knowledge and sunshine (especially from the beach, so don’t forget your sunscreen!).

Her goal is simple: when you leave, you feel confident, informed, and truly beautiful in your own skin.

Jenny has nearly a decade of hands-on experience with energy-based devices in the beauty industry. She loves using advanced technology to help clients look and feel their best. Her approach is results-driven, compassionate, and grounded in a genuine passion for skin health. When she’s not working, Jenny enjoys life with her husband, four daughters, a granddaughter who lights up her world, and a small herd of furry companions—two dogs and a cat.
